Euonymus fortunei, commonly called wintercreeper euonymus, is a woody-stemmed, broadleaf evergreen plant that comes in a variety of forms.

Coloratus, commonly called purple wintercreeper euonymus, is a trailing ground cover which typically grows to 18-24" tall and spreads by rooting stems as a bushy mat. It is similar in habit to English ivy in that it spreads along the ground, rooting as it goes. It features elliptic, dark green leaves (1-2" long) which turn dark purple in fall and winter.
